On May 3rd, 2008 at noon, runners from all over New England and upstate New York  took their marks in Ripton, Vermont, for the Green Mountain Hill Climb, a 10K road race from the center of Ripton to the top of the Middlebury Gap.

And the winners were:  Tim Reynolds, in a neck-and-neck uphill sprint finish with last year's winner, Robert Lukaskiewicz:  Alexa " Turzian, a member of the United States Ski Team, aka "Turboo:"  the home-grown relay team of Zander Carver and Schulyer Klein and, of course, the North Branch School in Ripton.

Thanks to our incredible sponsors:  Brighter Planet, groSolar, Native Energy, and Seventh Generation, each of which is working hard to provide renewable and sustainable energy choices, in the crucial effort to reduce atmospheric carbon to 350 parts per million.

Thanks also to New Balance, Clif Bar, Darn Tough Socks, the Ski Rack, Efficiency Vermont, and Eating Well magazine for donating prizes and goodies.
